IT CAME FROM PINEHURST! 6/9/22

How's it going?!?

Hope all is good.

Been two weeks since I was able to put some words down.

Been crazy busy with family and work stuff - as everyone is!

Been to Fan Expo Cleveland and St. Louis - great meeting everyone at the table and was also able to take in a St. Louis Cardinals game with my ol' buddy, Steve Wacker! The next show I'll be at is at Terrificon at the end of July in Connecticut. Mitch Hallock puts on a fun show every year and the best thing about the con is that it's really comic-book centric!

The image on the newsletter intro is the cover to BLOOD TREE #2 by artist Christian Alamy and colored by Brad Anderson. Beautiful and horrific. Wait till ya see the cover to #3!

Also, the uploaded chapter of BLOOD TREE this week brings the first issue to a conclusion. Our artist, Maxim Simic, colorist, John Kalisz, and letterer, Rob Leigh, really kicked ass. We've got some crazy twists and imagery coming your way.

Screened some timeless flicks that just came in. Two Eastwoods in amazing 4k!

Next up is an amazing one from Criterion starring Burt Lancaster called BRUTE FORCE. The ending of this one is sick and the action is insane. Surprised to see such violence in a 1950's film.

Reading up on Ancient Rome. Mary Beard really brings the past to life.

Did ya all see the BLACK ADAM trailer? Looks good to me! Fingers crossed!

Be interesting if they use anything from the only series DC ever published that actually starred BLACK ADAM. I wrote the 6 issue series a few years ago and it's drawn by the always amazing Doug Mahnke and inked by Christian Alamy. Really proud of it. Was out of print for many moons, but it's being reprinted and coming out to coincide with the new movie. Pick it up. You won't be disappointed. Spectacular Alex Ross cover, too!

Paid a visit to the Brooklyn Bridge a week or so ago. Got a call from a German production company who are producing a documentary on the Roeblings (who built the BB and hailed from Germany), and they enjoyed my graphic novel THE BRIDGE and wanted some on-camera moments talking about the Bridge. Lot of fun, and it was a beautiful day.

So, that's about it for now. Take care of each other.
